"Three" continues to set the standard for steel drum recordings with an eclectic mix of music for pan. Original compositions from Tom Miller, Andy Narell, Ray Holman and Jeff Narell; a classic calypso of Lord Kitchener; pan favorites from Len "Boogsie" Sharpe; and a rendition of a Beatles tune make this an enjoyable recording. The excitement and the beauty of the steel band is captured here in the Panhandler's stellar performances.

This debut CD features a variety of musical styles, including traditional socas and calypsos like the title track, as well as the swaying beguine rhythms of Martinique featured in Tom Miller's composition "Llava Tierra." The true essence of a steel band's haunting beauty is present in Ray Holman's gorgeous ballad "Since You've Gone", written especially for the Panhandlers. Pan great Andy Narell, a long time friend of the band, contributes two of his compositions: the latin funk tune "Zig-Zag" and the calypso "Play One For Keith." The CD is rounded out with Sting's ballad "Fragile" and Angelique Kidjo's afro-pop tune "Kaleta", making this a truly enjoyable musical experience.
